Head Coach: Ryan Williams (3rd season)

Coach Williams was named the head men's golf coach in November of 2021. He has been with the team since 2006, playing a year and a half for the Rams and then joining the coaching staff as an assistant after graduation.

In his first full season at the helm in 2022-23, the Rams won the Skyline Conference Championship by 49 strokes and earned a bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship held at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, KY. Williams was named Co-Coach of the Year in the Skyline Conference.

In his senior year, Williams was named First Team All-Skyline, leading the team to a Conference Championship and a first-ever appearance in the Division III National Tournament. He had held the school record for low round after shooting a 70 in his first match with the team at St. George's Country Club. For his academics, he was twice named a Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete award winner during both his years at FSC.

Williams, who is still an amateur, played in the 2011 and 2012 New York State Open at Bethpage State Park - Black Course. In 2012, he also qualified for 110th Met Amateur Championship as well as the United States Mid-Amateur Championship at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Williams graduated in December 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Sport Management Minor). He received his Master's Degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland. Williams works full-time in the Farmingdale State Athletics Department as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Golf Coach.

 

Assistant Coach: Michael Montagnino

Coach Montagnino is a Quarter Century member of the PGA of America and has been with the coaching staff at FSC since 2001. Coach Montagnino’ s primary role is as an instructor to help improve each segment of the player’s golf game.

Coach Montagnino received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University's Professional Golf Management Program in 1990. Prior to joining the coaching staff at FSC, Coach Montagnino was a Head Golf Professional and Teaching Professional. Coach Montagnino competed in many professional tournaments in the Metropolitan Area of New York such as the Long Island Open, Met Open, NY State Open and played on several Mini Tour’s in Florida. Coach Montagnino resides in Smithtown, NY along with his family.
