Golf Secures Victory at Mount Saint Mary Skyline Season Opener

NEWBURGH, N.Y. | Junior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) earned medalist honors with an even-par round of 70 Friday afternoon at the Powelton Club, leading the Farmingdale State College golf team to a winning, plus-13 round of 293 at the Mount Saint Mary College Skyline Season Opener event.

Kim's classmate, Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) placed second with a plus-2 round of 72 on the 6,193-yard course, while fellow junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) finished in a third-place tie by registering a 75 on the day. Rounding out the Rams' scoring contingent was freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.), who tied for sixth in his first collegiate round with a plus-6 score of 76.

Head coach Ryan Williams's FSC side is back in action Sunday and Monday (Sept. 11-12), when they compete at The Gauntlet -- a 36-hole event being held at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club in Harrisburg, Pa.
