BETHPAGE, N.Y. – Junior Kyle Havas (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded a two-round total of 154 to lead Farmingdale State to the 2006-07 Skyline Conference Golf Championship held Sunday and Monday at Bethpage State Park. Havas, who shot rounds of 78 and 76 on the par-70 Red Course, is the second Farmingdale State player to earn medalist honors in as many years. Tom Koprowski won the individual as a senior last year. Manhattanville sophomore Jason Zubatkin shot an opening round 77 to take a one-shot lead over Havas into Monday's round. Bethpage, NY - Junior Kyle Havas (78) and sophomore Tim Pellegrino (79) finished 2nd and 3rd overall leading Farmingdale to an eight-stroke lead after day one of the Skyline Conference Golf Championship. Senior Ryan Williams posted a score of 80, tying him with St. Joseph's Chris Manzello and Yeshiva's Josh Laskey for fourth place overall. Manhattanville's Jason Zubatkin shot a tournament-low 77 leading his team to second place heading into day two of the 36-hole championship. Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale Golf team will host this year's Skyline Conference Golf Championship at Bethpage State Park's Red Course in Bethpage, NY. The Championship is a two-day event which will take place on Sunday, October 22nd and Monday, October 23rd. Each team is allowed five players and the lowest combined score will be named the 2006 Skyline Conference Champions. For the first time ever, the winner of the Championship will automatically qualify for the Division III NCAA National Tournament to be held in May of 2007...

Havas shot a match-low 79 and Schwartz posted an 80 in cold and windy conditions. The two day, 36-hole event will take place on October 22-23 at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The first tee-times are scheduled for 11:00am on the 22nd and 9:00am on the 23rd. For the first time ever, the winner of the Championship will automatically qualify for the DIII NCAA National Tournament to be held in May of 2007.
