RIVERDALE, N.Y. | Senior outside hitters Kate Flamio (E. Islip, N.Y.) and Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) combined for 29.5 points Monday night at the Peter Jay Sharp Center, sending the Farmingdale State College volleyball team to its fourth-consecutive victory with a 3-1 triumph in Skyline Conference action at the College of Mount Saint Vincent (20-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-13).

Flamio (.370 hitting pct.) tied a season-high by notching 13 kills for the second time in three matches, while completing her double-double with 13 digs and assisting on three blocks. Farrell, too, picked up a double-double, compiling 10 kills, a season-best 15 digs and setting a career-high with five service aces. The visiting Rams (5-7, 3-1 Skyline) registered 10 aces for the fourth-consecutive match, with senior setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.; match-best 26 assists) collecting four for the second time in as many matches. Junior Madeline Stanley (Massapequa Pk., N.Y.) hit .545 (7-1-11) to match her career-high in kills, while sophomore Mikayla Profeta (Knoxville, Tenn.) was in on four of her side's total blocks on the night. Senior setter Madisyn Pozo (Bayside, N.Y.) led FSC by passing 18 digs in the back row, and was perfect in 20 serve-receive efforts.

The host Dolphins (2-8, 1-3) went in front by one set behind a seven-point serving effort from Charlotte Martin, before Farmingdale State leveled the match at 1-all with a 25-23 decision in set two. In the latter frame, Farrell served six-straight points to push the visitors up by a 14-8 margin, before CMSV chipped away to take a late 22-21 lead. Flamio's kill knotted things up at 22 apiece with a side-out kill, before the teams traded one point apiece. Profeta got to serve at set point following an error by the Dolphins, and junior Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Hts., N.Y.; .368 hitting) took advantage once the ball returned over the net by putting down one of her nine kills on the evening.

In set three, freshman setter Danielle Marullo (Patchogue, N.Y.) served six-straight points to put FSC in front for good at 8-4, while Farrell had a pair of four-point stints at the service line -- including at the end of the set -- to send her team in front 2-1.

Cavalieri served the first seven points in the Rams' favor to start the fourth set in convincing fashion, with Pozo providing service over the final seven points of the match to account for the final score.

Head coach Kellie Block's Farmingdale State squad is back in Skyline play at home on Wednesday night, when it plays host to conference-leading Manhattanville College in a 7 p.m. first serve at the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center.
