Ricketts Leads Rams to Shutout Win Over Old Westbury

Farmingdale, N.Y. - FSC freshman middle blocker Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) tallied a career-high 14 kills and a .565 attacking percentage to lead the Rams to a 3-0 shutout victory over SUNY Old Westbury on Monday evening. Ricketts' .565 hitting percentage ranks fourth all-time for a single match in school history (min. 20 attempts).

Farmingdale State (11-9, 7-1 Skyline) opened with a 25-19 win in the first set and cruised to a 25-11 victory in the set two.

Leading 2-0, the Rams picked up a 25-14 decision in the third set as they went on for the 3-0 Skyline win.

Ricketts recorded her 14 kills on 23 attempts and had just one error in the match. Freshman outside Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) tallied seven kills, two aces, two digs and two blocks, while junior outside hitter Rachel McCartin (Wantagh, N.Y.) had six kills, a .500 hitting percentage and nine digs. Freshman middle blocker Mikayla Profeta (West Islip, N.Y.) added six kills, three aces and four blocks and sophomore setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) registered 19 assists and six digs in the victory.

The Rams next will host Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence for a match on Wednesday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m.
