New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #8 on Monday, October 22nd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball.

Women's Soccer Update (13-3-2, 7-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In a 1-0-1 week, the Farmingdale State women's soccer team tied with non-conference opponent NYU, 0-0, on Thursday and defeated Sarah Lawrence, 5-0, in a Skyline contest on Saturday.

For the third time this season, junior goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Ford posted two clean sheets as she did not allow a goal in 200 minutes of play. She stopped six shots in the tie with regionally-ranked NYU.

FSC plays two conference games this week to close out the regular season: Monday at Mount Saint Vincent @ 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday vs. Mount Saint Mary @ 5:00 p.m.

 

Men's Soccer Update (9-7, 5-4 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The FSC men's soccer team earned a trio of conference wins last week, defeating Mount Saint Vincent (3-0), Sarah Lawrence (2-0) and St. Joseph's-Long Island (3-2), to improve to 5-4 in Skyline play.

Sophomore forward Thomas Hamel (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was tabbed to the Player of the Week Honor Roll after tallying a pair of goals on Tuesday against the Dolphins and adding the game-winner on Saturday versus SJC-LI.

This week, the Rams complete their regular season schedule with a conference game at Maritime College on Wednesday @ 7:30 p.m.

 

Women's Volleyball Update (8-21, 5-3 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State played three matches last week and went 1-2. FSC fell to Western Connecticut (3-1) on Tuesday before splitting a pair of conference matches on Sunday against Merchant Marine (L, 3-0) and Maritime (W, 3-2).

The women's volleyball team will end their regular season schedule with a home Skyline Conference tri-match on Sunday, October 28th. The Rams will first square off with St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at 10:00 a.m. and follow with a match against Yeshiva at 2:00 p.m.
