Rams Blank Yeshiva in Skyline Conference Game

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team cruised to a 10-0 Skyline Conference victory over Yeshiva University this afternoon. With the win, the Rams improved to 10-3-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

In the 15th minute, FSC opened the scoring on a goal by sophomore midfielder Alexandra Johnson (Commack, N.Y.). Only 45 seconds later, a score from senior midfielder Alyssa Parrotta (Centereach, N.Y.) increased the Farmingdale State advantage to two. After an unassisted goal by junior midfielder Tara Lyons (Wantagh, N.Y.), the Rams used scores from Allison Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Celine Cannizzaro (Bayport, N.Y.) to go out in front, 5-0, with 19:03 remaining in the first half. FSC added a pair of goals by Olympia Lewis (Brentwood, N.Y.) and one from both Cannizzaro and Kristen Shine (Manorville, N.Y.) to take a 9-0 lead into the break.

The Rams outshot Yeshiva (0-8, 0-5) 38-0 in the first half.

In the second half, Farmingdale State added a goal by junior defender Kelsy Rios (Brentwood, N.Y.) to cap off the 10-0 victory. 

Farmingdale State next will travel to Maritime for a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, October 10th at 5:00 p.m.
