Rams Improve to 4-0 With Win Over Kean

Dallas, Penn. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the year after a 2-0 victory over non-conference opponent Kean this afternoon at Misericordia.

After a scoreless first half, FSC took a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute as freshman forward Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored her third goal of the season off the pass from sophomore midfielder Brittney Starzee (Babylon, N.Y.). With 27:42 remaining, the Rams went ahead 2-0 on a free kick from 15 yards out by junior midfielder Tara Lyons (Wantagh, N.Y.). The Farmingdale State defense did not allow a shot the remainder of the game as they capped off the 2-0 victory.

FSC junior goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) tallied four saves as she recorded her third shutout of the season.

The Rams next play Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) tomorrow, Sunday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m.
