Farmingdale, N.Y. - The second-seeded Farmingdale State women's soccer team hosted #3 Mount Saint Vincent this evening for the Skyline Conference Semifinals and won, 3-0. The Rams (12-7-2) have clinched their spot in the conference finals for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons.

After a scoreless first half, in which FSC outshot Mount Saint Vincent 10-3 and held a 6-0 corner kick advantage, Dolphins senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Martin (Lawrenceville, N.J.) recorded a diving save just 3:27 after the break but was unable to corral the ball as senior forward Taylor Howard (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) put back the rebound to give the Rams a 1-0 lead.

Just over three minutes later, a cross in front by junior midfielder Alyssa Parrotta (Centereach, N.Y.) to freshman forward Miranda Ozimek (Centerport, N.Y.) put Farmingdale State up 2-0.

The Rams tallied their third goal and final goal in the 79th minute as Parrotta dribbled through the Mount Saint Vincent defense and scored from 10 yards out.

FSC outshot the Dolphins 14-1 in the second half.

Sophomore goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) made three saves in the shutout for Farmingdale State, while Martin totaled seven saves in defeat.

The Rams will now travel to the #1 seeded Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday, November 4th at noon for the Skyline Conference Championship.
