Rams Shutout Sarah Lawrence in Skyline Victory

Yonkers, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 6-0 shutout victory over Skyline Conference opponent Sarah Lawrence College at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, N.Y. this afternoon. The Rams improve to 11-5-2, 8-0 with today's win.

FSC sophomore midfielder Edasia Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) opened the scoring only 9:22 into the contest as she scored off the cross in front by freshman forward Miranda Ozimek (Centerport, N.Y.) to give Farmingdale State the early 1-0 lead. 

The game remained scoreless until the 35 minute mark when Rams junior midfielder Rae-Anne Guglielmo (West Babylon, N.Y.) tallied an unassisted goal to put FSC up 2-0.

Farmingdale State totaled 23 shots and eight corner kicks in the first half.

After the break, senior forward Taylor Howard (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) scored back-to-back goals only 4:08 apart to give the Rams a 4-0 advantage.

Farmingdale State added late goals by senior forward Aracely Romero (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder Ashlie Rodriguez (Malverne, N.Y.) as FSC earned the 6-0 conference victory. 

The Rams held Sarah Lawrence (5-8-1, 3-5) without a shot in the win.

Farmingdale State next hosts #4 William Smith tomorrow, Sunday, October 22nd, for a non-conference match at 1:00 p.m.
