Farmingdale, N.Y. - The women's soccer team captured their ninth Skyline Conference title in the last 10 years after earning the top-seed and defeating both #4 Sage and #2 Mount Saint Mary, 2-0, in the Semifinals and Finals, respectively.

FSC earned the Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament and traveled to play #15 McDaniel in the First Round. The Green Terror earned a 4-1 victory over the Rmas as Farmingdale State finished the 2016 season with an 11-9-3 record. 

The women's soccer team had seven players named All-Conference this season. Freshman goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was named to the First Team and the Skyline Rookie of the Year. Junior forward Taylor Howard (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), sophomore forward Destiny Pomarico (West Babylon, N.Y.), senior midfielder Alena Gannon* (North Babylon, N.Y.) and senior defender Alexandria Tudisco (Massapequa, N.Y.) all joined Ford on the All-Conference First Team, while senior midfielder Amanda Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.) and sophomore defender Jordan Martin (Citrus County, Fla.) were named to the Second Team.

Howard and senior defender Alyssa Gaynor (East Northport, N.Y.) were both named NSCAA Third Team All-East Region.

Howard led the team in goals (9), while Pomarico held a team-leading 25 points, 11 assists and three game-winning goals. Junior forward Erika Anzalone (North Bellmore, N.Y.) (7g) and Khare (6g, 3a) each tallied 14 points on the year.

Ford backstopped the Rams to an undefeated season in Conference play. She totaled 60 saves, .732 save percentage and a 1.38 goals against average. She finished the year 9-7-2 in a season that featured nine ranked opponents.

FSC graduated five seniors this year.
