Kansas City, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of American announced the 2016 NSCAA Division III All-Region Teams on Tuesday, November 30th.
Farmingdale State sophomore defender Alyssa Gaynor (East Northport, N.Y.) and junior forward Taylor Howard (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) were each named Third Team All-East Region.
Gaynor, a center defender, started every game this year and is responsible for organizing the back four and marking the opponent's top-scorer. She has great ability to come out of the back on the dribble and start the offensive attack. Gaynor was recently named a team captain for the 2017 season.
Howard started 20-of-23 games in 2016 and tallied a team-leading eight goals. She was second on FSC in points with 18 and added two assists from her forward position. This is Howard's second All-Region honor as she was named to the Third Team last year.
