Pomarico's OT Game-Winner Clinches #1 Seed for FSC

Farmingdale, N.Y. - With 7:54 remaining in overtime, FSC sophomore midfielder Destiny Pomarico (West Babylon, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal to lead the Rams to a 1-0 victory over Sage on senior day. With the win, the Farmingdale State women's soccer team clinched the #1 seed and home field advantage for the upcoming Skyline Conference playoffs.

Senior forward Carly Vittoria (Smithtown, N.Y.), goalkeeper Ashley Monzillo (Medford, N.Y.), midfielder Amanda Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.), midfielder Alena Gannon* (North Babylon, N.Y.) and defender Alexandria Tudisco (Massapequa, N.Y.) were each honored in pregame as they played in their final regular season home game today.

After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation, Pomarico curled the winning shot into the net from 20 yards out on the end line. The Rams enter Tuesday's regular season finale at St. Joseph's-LI (7:00 p.m.) with an 8-8-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play.

Monzillo, who played the first half, finished with three saves in the victory. Freshman goalkeeper Cassy Robataille (Amsterdam, N.Y.) stopped six shots for Sage (10-7, 4-2).
