Skidmore Defeats FSC 3-0 in Non-Conference Matchup

Skidmore, N.Y. - The FSC women's soccer team fell, 3-0, in a non-conference game at Skidmore College on Saturday. The Rams now stand at 7-8-3, while the Thoroughbreds improved to 4-6-1.

Skidmore sophomore forward Emma Basso (Norwell, Mass.) converted a give-and-go from Courtney Shaw (Rye Brook, N.Y.) to give the Thoroughbreds a 1-0 lead with 20:39 left in the first. Skidmore increased the advantage to 2-0 3:19 later on a goal by Emily Saliterman (Mendham, N.J.). The Thoroughbreds outshot the Rams 11-4 in the first half and took the 2-0 lead into the break.

Senior defender Elizabeth Schaeffer (New York, N.Y.) tallied the only score of the second half in the 67th minute as Skidmore earned the 3-0 victory.

Farmingdale State will now play host to Sage (Senior Day) on Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m.
