#5 Stevens Remains Unbeaten with Win Over FSC

#5 Stevens - 4, Farmingdale State - 1


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The fifth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team earned a 4-1 victory over Farmingdale State this afternoon and improved to a perfect 12-0 on the season.

Stevens opened the scoring with 26:03 remaining in the first half on a goal by sophomore forward Zisi Komar (San Diego, Calif.) off the cross in front from Gabriella Saade (West Windsor, N.J.). Only 4:01 later, Stevens increased the advantage to 2-0 after senior forward Raba Nassif (Northvale, N.Y.) converted the through pass up the middle by Julia Panko (Millstone Township, N.J.). Rassif tallied her second score of the afternoon in the 27th minute to give the Ducks an early three-goal lead. Stevens outshot the Rams 14-4 and held a 7-3 corner kick advantage as they took their 3-0 lead into the break.

With 25:20 left to play in the second, Farmingdale State (6-7-3) broke-up the shutout when senior midfielder Amanda Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.) sent a cross from the left side of the field and senior defender Alexandria Tudisco (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored on a header in front of the net.

Sophomore forward Misha Brewster (Livermore, Calif.) added the final goal of the game for the Ducks en route to the 4-1 non-conference victory.

FSC returns to conference play when they travel to Maritime on Friday, October 14th at 5:00 p.m.
