Rams Roll in Win Over Sarah Lawrence

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned an 8-0 Skyline victory over Sarah Lawrence this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams improved to 4-6-3, 4-0 with today's win.

FSC sophomore midfielder Destiny Pomarico (West Babylon, N.Y.) opened the scoring only 48 seconds into the contest as she scored off Edasia Martinez's (Brentwood, N.Y.) pass from the blue line. Freshman forward Erika Anzalone (North Bellmore, N.Y.) followed with back-to-back goals for the Rams to increase the advantage to 3-0. In the 21st minute, Pomarico netted her second score of the afternoon on a breakaway to put Farmingdale State on top, 4-0. Sophomore midfielder Alyssa Parrotta (Centereach, N.Y.) and sophomore defender Olivia Howard (Levittown, N.Y.) added first half goals as the Rams went into the halftime break leading, 6-0.

Farmingdale State outscored the Gryphons (2-6, 1-3) 2-0 in the second half as freshman defender Elizabeth Dasilva (Franklin Square, N.Y.) and senior forward Carly Vittoria (Smithtown, N.Y.) both tallied goals en route to the 8-0 victory.

The Rams will play host to Mount Saint Mary tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The Farmingdale State College Athletic Department is holding the 1st Annual Breast Cancer Women's Soccer Game, titled "Kicks for Cancer," beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the soccer complex.
