Women's Soccer Falls at Scranton

Scranton, Pa. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team fell 1-0 to non-conference opponent the University of Scranton today. With the loss, the Rams dropped to 0-5-2 overall, while the Royals improved to 3-1-1.

Scranton would score the lone goal of the game in the 26th minute, as sophomore midfielder Jamie Hreniuk (West Caldwell, N.J.) capitalized off a pass from sophomore midfielder Taylor Stevens (Yardley, Pa.).

The Royals led 8-4 in shots throughout the game and held the corner kick advantage 4-1.

Farmingdale State goalkeepers split the duties in yet with one save each. Sophomore goalkeeper Karla Gomes, N.Y. (Carle Place, N.Y.) got the start and freshman Daniela Ford (Dix Hills, N.Y.) finished out the game with one save in her 45 minutes played.

The Rams will now face Geneseo on Sunday, September 18th in a non-conference game at 1:00 p.m.
