Thompson and Orlando Named All-East Region

Kansas City, Kan.  - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has released the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region Teams for women's soccer. Sophomore forward Ashlee Thompson (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and freshman defender Alexa Orlando (Holtsville, N.Y.) were each named Third Team All-East Region.

Thompson started every game this season and led the team in goals (15), points (35) and game-winning scores with five. In the Skyline Conference, Thompson ranked fifth in goals and points, sixth in both points per game and goals per game and ninth for assists. She was 67th in the nation in goals scored and 81st in total points.

Orlando appeared in every game, while starting 21 on defense for Farmingdale State. She controlled a defense that was second in the Skyline allowing only two goals in conference play. Orlando added two goals, including one game-winner on the year.
