Rams Roll Past NYU-Poly

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 10-0 victory over NYU-Poly in a Skyline Conference game on Monday afternoon.

Sophomore forward Ashlee Thompson (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored the games first two goals to quickly give the Rams (9-7, 5-0) a 2-0 advantage. In the 14th minute, freshman forward Alena Gannon (North Babylon, N.Y.) netted a feed from Deborah Gilwit (New Rochelle, N.Y.) to increase the lead to 3-0. Only 3:09 later, freshman midfielder Gabrielle Kasulke (Seaford, N.Y.) scored an unassisted goal for Farmingdale State. The Rams added three more goals over the final 25 minutes of the half to take a 7-0 lead into the break. Farmingdale State outshot NYU-Poly (2-9, 0-5) 18-0 in the first half.

In the second half, the Rams added goals by freshman midfielder Amanda Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.), Gannon and freshman midfielder Nia Jones (West Hempstead, N.Y.). Farmingdale State held the Fighting Blue Jays without a shot for the game.

The Rams next will host Purchase in a conference game on Wednesday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m.
