Rams Drop Non-Conference Game at Williams

Williamstown, Mass. - Three late scores by Williams led the Ephs to a 4-0 non-conference victory over Farmingdale State on Saturday afternoon. The Rams fell to 6-7 on the season, while Williams improved to 5-1-2.

Sophomore forward Natalie Weyerhaeuser (Lakewood, Wash.) scored an unassisted goal with 36 seconds left in the first half to give Williams a 1-0 lead at the break. The Ephs outshot the Rams 14-0 and had a 5-0 corner kick advantage in the half.

With 14:11 remaining in the second half, freshman midfielder Katie Wardlaw (San Marino, Cal.) scored to increase Williams' lead to 2-0. Only 30 seconds later, sophomore forward Alison Magruder's (St. Louis, MO) goal gave the Ephs a 3-0 advantage. Williams added their final score in the 89th minute en route to the 4-0 non-conference victory.

Farmingdale State next will face NYU-Poly in a Skyline Conference game at Purchase on Monday, October 7th at 8:00 p.m.
