Rams Fall at #8 Ithaca

#8 Ithaca - 2, Farmingdale State - 1


Ithaca, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team fell, 2-1, at eighth-ranked Ithaca College on Sunday afternoon. The Rams are now 5-6 on the season, while the Bombers improved to 8-1.

Ithaca jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute as senior forward Jackie Rodabaugh (Mill Hall, Penn.) scored off the feed from Ellyn Grant-Keane (Lansing, N.Y.). The Rams outshot Ithaca 7-6 and held a 6-2 corner kick advantage in the first half.

With 28:12 remaining in the second half, Ithaca increased their advantage to 2-0 on an unassisted goal by senior defender Anna Gray (Bethlehem, N.Y.). Farmingdale State freshman midfielder Amanda Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.) scored late but the Rams fell, 2-1.

Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Monzillo (Medford, N.Y.) had five saves in the loss.

Farmingdale State next will host Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, October 2nd at 4:00 p.m.
