Rams Selected to Win Seventh Straight Skyline Championship

New York, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team has been selected to finish first in the Skyline Conference in voting conducted by the league's nine head coaches. The Rams are in search of their seventh consecutive Skyline Title.

Farmingdale State returns all-conference forward Ashlee Thompson (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Breanna Blair (Littleton, Colo.). Last season Thompson tallied a team-high 10 goals and was second with 24 points, while Blair ranked second in the conference in save percentage and third in goals against average. Andrea Kiefer (Centereach, N.Y.), the Defensive Player of the Year and Tournament MVP, will miss the entire 2013 season due to injury.

Mount Saint Mary College (57 votes) was chosen to finish second and St. Joseph's (46 votes) was tabbed third.
