Rams Drop Road Match at St. Joe's

St. Joseph's - 1, Farmingdale State - 0


Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team fell, 1-0, in a road match at Skyline opponent St. Joseph's this afternoon in Patchogue, N.Y. The Rams dropped to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Golden Eagles improved to 7-2-2 and a perfect 2-0 in Skyline action.

St. Joe's struck early as freshman forward Jamianne Eden (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored off junior midfielder Samantha Garcia's (Central Islip, N.Y.) pass only 3:32 into the game. The Golden Eagles held a 6-5 shot advantage in the first half and took a 1-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, Farmingdale State took 12 shots, including seven on goal, but were unable to even the score. St. Joe's held the Rams scoreless and captured the Skyline match 1-0.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Mount Saint Vincent for a conference game on Saturday, September 29th at 5:00 p.m. The game will be played at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, N.Y.
