Rams Roll Past Mount Saint Vincent on Senior Day

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team defeated Skyline opponent the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 11-1, on senior day this afternooon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams honored seniors Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y.), Kerry Larkin (Patchogue, N.Y.), Shannon Kalogeras (Patchogue, N.Y.), Rebecca Richman (West Islip, N.Y.) and Katrina Cerverizzo (Center Moriches, N.Y.) who each played in their final regular season home game today. 

The Rams (12-2-2, 6-0) scored eight first half goals led by Cerverizzo who had two. Larkin added a goal and an assist, while Richman had one goal. Junior's Jillian Lasota (Massapequa, N.Y.), Erica Bettini (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Corine Magee (Mastic, N.Y.) each scored a goal before freshman Kelly Geheran (Sayville, N.Y.) netted the final score of the half for Farmingdale State. The Rams did not allow Mount Saint Vincent (3-9, 1-5) to attempt a shot in the first half.

Farmingdale State held an 11-0 lead late in the second half before Dolphins' freshman forward Danielle Heumegni (Bronx, N.Y.) scored in the 78th minute to break the shutout.

The Rams next will travel to Richard Stockton for a non-conference game on Monday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m.
