- Theresa Martorano Named Player of the Week -
New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the first Women's Soccer report for the 2011 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.
Junior forward Theresa Martorano (Commack, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for women's soccer. Martorano was key in leading Farmingdale State to a 3-0 start to the year, scoring two goals and adding one assist. She tallied both goals in the opening 2-0 win over Rivier. In a 1-0 OT thriller over Bard, she set up freshman Sam Johrden (Deer Park, N.Y.) for the winning score in the second overtime.
