Farmingdale, N.Y. - Two goals late in the second half leads Farmingdale State to a 2-0 victory over Bard College this afternoon in the Skyline Conference semifinals. The Rams improved to 16-4 overall and await their opponent for the Championship game.

After a scoreless first half, sophomore forward Christina Merrill (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) received a pass from sophomore Carly Schneider and dribbled past the goalkeeper to score, putting Farmingdale State ahead 1-0 at the 71:05 mark. Sophomore defender Yvonne Santos (Hicksville, N.Y./Hicksville) clinched the victory for the Rams as she netted a shot from 20 yards out in the 87th minute.

Farmingdale State controlled the game allowing the Raptors (10-9) to take only one shot. The Rams also held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Amy Strawbridge (Indianapolis, Ind.) made 10 saves in the loss for Bard.

Farmingdale State will play the winner of the St. Joseph's/Mount Saint Mary game on Saturday, November 6th. The Skyline Conference Championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed.
