Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team scored two goals late in the second half to earn a 2-1 non-conference victory over Manhattanville College. The Rams improved to a perfect 4-0 on the season, while the Valients dropped to 0-3.

After a scoreless first half, Holly Nonis scored off the pass from Natalie Green in the 57th minute, putting Manhattanville on top 1-0. The Rams trailed by one until the 78:06 mark when sophomore defender Jillian Lasota (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) tied the game on a header off sophomore forward Christina Merrill's (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) corner kick. Farmingdale State took the lead three minutes later as junior forward Rebecca Richman (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) scored from eight yards out. Junior forward Katrina Cerverizzo (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) recorded the assist for the Rams on Richman's game-winning goal. Farmingdale State held the Valients scoreless over the final nine minutes to secure the non-conference win.

The Rams next will face Gettysburg in the William Smith Tournament on Saturday, September 11th at 2:00 p.m.
