The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team finished the year with a 7-7 overall record under first year head coach Carrie Bolduc and received their first-ever bid to the ECAC Tournament. In the regular season, Farmingdale finished in a three-way tie for 4th place in the Skyline and missed out on the post-season tournament by virtue of margin of victory in conference play. The team will graduate three players and will see two transfers depart from the roster, but will continue to set the bar high as they continue to build a strong program...

Baltimore, Md. – The College of Notre Dame of Maryland closed its regular-season schedule with an 18-10 non-conference victory over Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon at Alumnae Field. Senior midfielder Tina Money (Shady Side, Md./Queen Anne's County High School) and junior midfielder Anne Shippen (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg Country Day School) each scored four goals for Notre Dame. Money had two assists, and Shippen had one. Money put the Gators on the scoreboard 43 seconds into the game off an assist by Shippen. Farmingdale State freshman midfielder Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll for women's lacrosse on Monday, April 23rd. Jung had a monster week with 14 goals and four assists to lead the team with 18 points in a 2-1 week. She started with five goals against Maritime, then added 7 goals and 2 assists (including the game-winner) in the Rams 21-16 upset over Kean. She then finished with two goals and one assist at Stevens. She also led the team with 12 ground balls and won 8 draw controls from her starting center position. In addition, Mather broke Lesa Glick's single-season record for assists at Stevens. Farmingdale State senior attacker Natalie Budinich (East Northport, N.Y./Commack) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll for women's lacrosse on Monday, April 9th. Natalie led the team in scoring this week with five goals and three assists in the Rams 1-1 conference week. In the Rams overtime win over Centenary, Natalie tallied three goals and three assists in regulation play, before notching the game-winner just 44 seconds into overtime to put the Rams past the Cyclones 16-15. Junior goaltender Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) was named the Division III ECAC Metro Region Goaltender of the Week. Janine finished the Rams 1-1 week with 29 saves and held her opponents to just 9.50 goals scored per game on 65 shots faced. In the Rams win over St. Thomas Aquinas, she finished with 12 saves, including three big stops in the final two minutes of play to secure the 12-11 victory. Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team fell to Mount Saint Vincent (2-3, 1-0 Skyline) today in their first conference game of the season. The score was tied 5-5 at the half, but Mount Saint Vincent outscored the Rams 3-1 in the second for the 8-6 victory. Farmingdale dropped to 3-1 overall, 0-1 in the Skyline with the loss. The Rams scored four straight goals to start off the first half with two goals coming from sophomore Nicole Brett (Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), before the Dolphins connected on four straight to tie the game at 4 all. Hillburn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team scored nine second half goals to overcome an 8-3 halftime deficit and defeat Division II St. Thomas Aquinas (1-3) by a score of 12-11 on Wednesday afternoon in Hillburn, N.Y. The Rams freshman midfielder Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) scored five of her six goals in the second, including the game-winner with 2:36 left to play. Rokee finished with a career-high and program record 11 points in the Rams 24-1 victory over Elms College on Saturday, March 24th. She helped the team improve to 2-0 on the season as she scored six goals (including the game-winner) along with five assists, while also posting team-highs of nine ground balls and five draw controls. The Skyline Conference released the Preseason Spring Coaches' Polls on Wednesday, March 7th. Men's Lacrosse received a fourth place ranking, while baseball was picked to finish fifth and softball and women's lacrosse hold a sixth place ranking. The polls will give the Rams something to focus on as they start their spring seasons, as many of the teams look to show the conference where they should really stand in the rankings. Spring reporting starts next week on Monday, March 12th when the Conference announces the Player and Rookie of the Week in each sport and also releases the overall statistics for the first time this season...
