NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 11 head women's basketball coaches have cast their votes in the 2022-23 preseason poll, and Farmingdale State College is slotted fifth on the ledger with one first-place vote and 65 voting points.

Fourth-year head coach Mark Dellecave's Rams went 12-12 last season, including a 10-10 mark in Skyline Conference play. FSC returns eight student-athletes from that side, including junior forward Layla Mendoza (Westhampton Beach, N.Y.). Mendoza registered a Skyline-leading .521 field-goal percentage in her first season wearing the green and white, while her team-high 19.1 points per game ranked fourth, and 21 blocked shots ninth.

Farmingdale State opens its season on the road Tuesday night (Nov. 8), when it tips off the season at 5 p.m. in a non-conference tilt at Brooklyn College.
