Skyline Releases Softball Report #5
- Zino named Pitcher of the Week, Mistretta named to Honor Roll -
Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the
fifth softball report for the 2010 season on Monday, April 12th,
including Player of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, Rookie of the
Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.
Sophomore pitcher Hope Zino (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) was named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week. Zino went 4-0 with a 0.00 ERA last week. In 22.0 innings of work, Zino gave up just 10 hits and three unearned runs. She struck out 27 batters while walking just two. Zino did not allow more than three hits in any game (Baruch, St. Joseph’s (2), Sage).
Freshman second baseman Maressa Mistretta (Shirley, N.Y./Longwood) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. She batted .550 with 10 runs scored and four RBI in six games for the Rams.
