The softball team finished 7-15 record. Sophomore pitcher Jaclyn Buckshaw finished the season with a 2.24 ERA in 14 games pitched. She pitched 11 complete games for the Rams and held the opposing teams to a batting average of .250. She also only allowed 11 extra-base hits in 259 at-bats. Junior Gina Moscato led the Rams offensively as the clean-up hitter in the lineup. She led the team with 13 RBI’s, 23 hits and 12 runs scored. She finished with a slugging percentage of .448 and had six extra base hits, including five doubles and a triple. Junior Devan Weber led the team with a .375 batting average and was the team-leader in walks with 12. Sophomore Erin Dodge finished hitting .291, 16 hits, nine RBI's and had the fewest strikeouts (7). Senior Tiffany deBeaumont was third on the team with 18 hits, 10 runs scored and nine RBI's. Freshman pitcher Rachele Fischer finished the year 3-2 with a 4.57 ERA. She pitched a no-hitter against Purchase, allowing just one walk in an 8-0 victory...

Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale State softball team (7-15, 4-10) lost a doubleheader against Skyline opponent Manhattanville College (25-11, 14-0) this afternoon in Farmingdale, NY. Manhattanville junior pitcher Maggie Thomas (Malvern, PA) got the win in the first game allowing just four hits and one run in the 3-1 victory. Thomas also got the win in the second game allowing five hits and two run for a 6-2 win.

Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale State softball team (7-11, 4-6) split a doubleheader with Skyline opponent St. Joseph’s College (9-5, 7-1) this afternoon in Farmingdale, NY. St. Joseph’s won the first game as junior pitcher Jennifer Martinez (Bay Shore, NY/Bellport) struck out 17 batters and allowed just one hit for the 8-0 conference victory. Martinez just broke the NCAA Division III record for strikeouts on April 9th, as she struck out 21 batters in a win over Mount Saint Mary. Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale State softball team split a conference doubleheader with Old Westbury (6-6, 3-3 Skyline) to move to 6-10 overall, 4-5 in the Skyline today in Farmingdale, NY. Senior pitcher Lindsay Amato (North Babylon, NY) picked up the 2-1 win in first game for the visiting Panthers. Freshman Rachele Fischer (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) pitched the second game, securing the 6-2 victory for the Rams.

Moscato batted .700 while helping the Rams to a 3-1 week. She went 7-for-10 with three doubles, five runs scored and five runs batted in.
