Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track teams competed at the Wolfie Invitational hosted by Stony Brook University on Saturday. In a field highlighted by Division I schools, the Rams were the only Division III team at the meet.

Senior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) finished first in the field of 22 in the 200m with an ECAC qualifying time of 22.10. He also recorded a runner-up finish in the 100m, finishing .01 seconds behind the winner with an ECAC qualifying time of 10.96.

Sophomore Stephen Schmidt (Levittown, N.Y.) captured the discus with a toss of 42.10m, while sophomore Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) won the 400m hurdles in an ECAC qualifying 55.65. Sophomore Jyaire Ewa's (North Massapequa, N.Y.) throw of 51.16m earned him a second place finish in the hammer.

The women were led by freshman Tunisia Solomon (Amityville, N.Y.) who took second in the triple jump (10.81m).

Farmingdale State next will travel to Franklin Field for the Penn Relays on Friday, April 29th.
