Rams Win Three Events at Coach "O" Invite


Kings Point, N.Y. - The men's and women's outdoor track team competed at the Coach Omeltchenko hosted by USMMA in Kings Point on Sunday afternoon. The Rams won three events at the meet, along with five Top-5 performances.

Junior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) took 1st place in the 200m with an ECAC qualifiying time of 21.91, moving him onto the Top-10 All-Time list at #6. He also posted an ECAC qualifying time of 11.03 in the 100m with a 3rd place finish. Parkinson also ran the final leg of the 4x100m Relay team (8th place, 44.20) and 4x400m Relay team (3rd place, 3:24.28).

Sophomore Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) grabbed a 1st place finish in the 400m Hurdles with an ECAC qualifier of 55.15, moving him to #4 on the FSC All-Time list.

Sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) took 1st place in the Shot Put (13.65m, 44' 9 1/2"), 4th place in the Hammer Throw (50.75m, 166' 6") and 9th in the Discus (35.39m, 116' 1").

Stephen Schmidt - Discus, 2nd place, 42.17m (138' 4"); Shot Put, 3rd place, 12.34m (40' 6"); Hammer, 6th place, 43.68m (143' 4")

4x100m Relay - 8th place, James D'onofrio, Bryan Giordano, Nick Kalstek, Jovanni Parkinson

4x400m Relay - 3rd place, Idowu Bamisile, Nikola Georgiev, Philip Sellitto, Jovanni Parkinson

3000m Steeplechase - Dio Rodriguez, 7th place, 12:21.36

800m - Nicole Franz, 10th place, 2:30.83, #7 on All-Time list

200m - Nikola Georgiev, 9th place, 22.71

 

Farmingdale State will now travel to Stony Brook University for the Wolfie Invitational on Saturday, April 23rd.
