Williams Finishes 13th at NCAA's

Oshkosh, Wisc. - Senior high jumper Akil Williams (Jamaica, N.Y./August Martin) finished tied for 13th place at the Division III National Championships held from May 24th - 26th at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

To qualify for the NCAA's, Williams jumped 2.01-meters (6' 7 1/2"). An injury prevented him from jumping at this year's ECAC Championship, but he was still selected for the Nationals.
Williams cleared his opening height of 1.90-meters (6' 2 3/4") on his first jump. He missed and then cleared his second height at 1.95-meters (6' 4 3/4") before missing three times at 2.00-meters (6' 6 3/4"). This tied him for 13th place in the event.
