FSC Men's Tennis Falls to Lehman

Lehman - 5, Farmingdale State - 4


Bronx, N.Y. - On Tuesday evening, the Farmingdale State men's tennis team traveled to non-conference opponent Lehman College and fell, 5-4. The Lightning (5-4) claimed 2-of-3 doubles matches and won three singles matches en route to the one-point victory.

The doubles win for the Rams (1-7) came in the third position as sophomore Elijah McCall (West Babylon, N.Y.) and senior Patrick Madigan (Sayville, N.Y.) earned an 8-3 victory over freshman Ioannis Vasos (Astoria, N.Y.) and sophomore Arman Hossain (Bronx, N.Y.).

In singles competition, freshman Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) (6-4, 6-4), McCall (4-6, 6-2, 10-3) and freshman Cooper Everett (Long Beach, N.Y.) (6-1, 6-0) tallied wins in the first, fifth and sixth slots, respectively.

FSC next will travel to the U.S. National Tennis Center for a Skyline Conference match against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Wednesday, April 11th at 7:30 p.m.
