Rams Drop Spring Opener at Yeshiva

Edgewater, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team opened their spring schedule yesterday afternoon with a conference match at Yeshiva University and fell, 9-0. FSC dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference, while the Maccabees improved to 6-5, 3-0.

The Rams dropped first doubles 8-1 before falling in the #2 and #3 positions, 8-2 and 8-4, respectively.

In singles, Yeshiva captured all six matches to round out the 9-0 sweep. In the first to sixth positions: Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) (1-6, 0-6), Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) (1-6, 1-6), Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (2-6, 4-6), Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) (1-6, 6-3, 9-11), Matthew Ramsay (Bay Shore, N.Y.) (0-6, 1-6) and Chris Molchan (Mattituck, N.Y.) (1-6, 0-6) were all defeated.

Farmingdale State next will travel to play non-conference opponent Baruch on Tuesday, March 27th at 5:00 p.m.
