Farmingdale, N.Y. - On Friday afternoon, the Farmingdale State men's tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 home victory over York (NY). The Rams improved to 2-2, while the Cardinals fell to 0-3 on the season.
At first doubles, the pair of Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) and Dylan Murarka (Westbury, N.Y.) earned an 8-1 victory, while Patrick Madigan (Sayville, N.Y.) and Elijah McCall (West Babylon, N.Y.) also earned an 8-1 win in the second position. To close out doubles, FSC's Stephano Dasaro (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Joseph Napoli (Farmingdale, N.Y.) carded an 8-1 victory in the #3 slot.
In singles, Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0), Murarka (6-0, 6-1), Maslak (6-2, 6-0), Madigan (6-0, 6-0) and James Roth (Massapequa, N.Y.) all tallied wins to close out the sweep.
The Rams next will travel to Purchase for a Skyline Conference match on Wednesday, March 29th at 3:30 p.m.
