#1 Yeshiva University - 5, #3 Farmingdale State - 4
Edgewater, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team fell, 5-4, to top-seeded Yeshiva University in the Skyline Conference Finals at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, N.J.
The Rams (10-5) claimed one point in doubles competition as sophomore's Tyler Danzy (Central Islip, N.Y.) and Chris Hunter (Melville, N.Y.) posted a 9-8 (7-4) win in the #1 slot over David Papis Elon (Herzliya, Israel) and Eitan Rudansky (Mamaroneck, N.Y.).
Farmingdale State junior Dan Baruch (East Meadow, N.Y.) carded a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the #4 singles position, while freshman Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win at fifth singles. In sixth singles, freshman Joseph Drago (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded a 6-4, 6-2 victory for the Rams.
Tied 4-4 with one singles match remaining, Yeshiva's (12-3) Papis Elon tallied the match winning point with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win in the #1 position.
The Maccabees received the Skyline Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship.
