Oneonta, N.Y. - In their lone match of the fall season, the Farmingdale State men's tennis team fell, 9-0, at SUNY Oneonta on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons improved to 3-1 on the year with the victory.
In first doubles, Michael Kennelly (Irvington. N.Y.) and Mackenzie Park (Elmira, N.Y.) of SUNY Oneonta earned an 8-2 win over Farmingdale State's Christian Bormann (Huntington, N.Y.) and Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.). In the second position, juniors Judd Bahoui (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Bradley Smith (Mineola, N.Y.) fell to Benjamin Leighton (Shokan, N.Y.) and Ryohei Nakamura (Fukuoka, Japan) 8-3. In the third slot, Matteo Befi (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) paired with James Garzia (Marcellus, N.Y.) for an 8-3 victory over Adam Fishelberg and Jimmy Lopez (Medford, N.Y.)
The Red Dragons swept the singles competition en route to the 9-0 victory.
The Rams will begin their spring season on Sunday, March 16, 2014 when they play host to Sarah Lawrence.
