Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference after yesterday's 7-0 win over Purchase College. The Panthers fell to 6-3 and 1-1 in Skyline matches.
In doubles competition, Justin Vijungco (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and Ryan Musalo (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned a 9-7 victory in the first position. Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Steven Ferrantello (Dix Hills, N.Y.) teamed up for an 8-3 win in the second slot, while Judd Bahoui (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Bradley Smith (Mineloa, N.Y.) notched a 9-7 victory in third doubles.
In singles matches, Vijungco, Bessarabov, Bahoui and Smith all earned wins for Farmingdale State.
The Rams next will host NYU-Poly on senior day on Saturday, April 13th at noon.
