Farmingdale State - 8, Dowling College - 1
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team improved to 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon with an 8-1 victory on their home court against Division II Dowling College.
The Rams swept Dowling in the doubles matches with 8-6, 8-3 and 8-0 wins, before going 5-1 in singles play.
Senior Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and junior Steven Ferrantello (Dix Hills, N.Y.) improved their team-high undefeated records to 4-0, including 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 at #2 doubles.
Farmingdale State will open conference play on Saturday, March 23rd as they host St. Joseph's at 1:00 p.m.
