Rams Post 10th win to Wrap Up Regular-Season

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team posted their 10th victory of the season on Tuesday night, defeating John Jay College (5-7) by a score of 6-3. The Rams have posted a program record 10 wins so far this season and will be the top seed for the upcoming Skyline Playoffs for the first time in program history.
In doubles competition, Farmingdale won at 1st and 3rd doubles to take a 2-1 lead going into the singles matches. Freshman Christian Bormann (Huntington, N.Y.) continued his dominance at 1st singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while sophomore Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), junior Theo Gioles (Wantagh, N.Y.) and senior Chris Genzmann (Massapequa, N.Y.) also recorded victories in the teams 10th win of the year.
Farmingdale State will now host #4 seed Purchase College on Thursday, April 28th in the Skyline Conference Semifinals at 6:00 p.m. The winner of that match will advance to the Skyline Championship on Saturday, April 30th against the winner of #2 Mount Saint Mary / #3 St. Joseph's, to be played at the highest remaining seed.
