Rams Fall in Season Finale at St. Joe's-LI

Patchogue, N.Y. - In their final game of the 2017 season, the Farmingdale State men's soccer team traveled to St. Joseph'-LI on Wednesday night and fell, 7-0. The Rams finished the year with a 7-8 overall record and a 3-6 mark in the Skyline, while the Golden Eagles improved to 7-7-1, 7-1-1.

Only 2:53 into the game, SJC-LI jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by freshman midfielder Alex Tarach (Selden, N.Y.). In the 17th minute, a score from sophomore forward Damian Duda (Riverhead, N.Y.) off Rayneri Ruiz's (Bay Shore, N.Y.) pass increased the Golden Eagles advantage to two. The final score of the first half came with 8:48 left to play as junior midfielder Shayne Johnson (Southold, N.Y.) netted the feed from Duda.

St. Joe's outscored Farmingdale State 4-0 in the second half after Ruiz, Kyle Conway (Holbrook, N.Y.), Justin Busto (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and Chance Casey (Tempe, Ariz.) all tallied goals in the 7-0 victory.

The Golden Eagles have claimed the #2 seed and a first-round bye heading into the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship.
