Skyline Releases Fall Weekly Report #10

- Kiefer named Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #10 on Monday, November 5, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Women's Soccer Update (13-7) - Full Report

The second-seeded Rams picked up a 1-0 win over St. Joe's in the semifinals on an Andrea Kiefer (Centereach, N.Y.) penalty kick goal. In the Skyline Finals, Farmingdale State traveled to top-seeded Mount Saint Mary and defeated the Knights, 3-1, en route to their sixth straight Skyline Conference Championship.

The Rams will face Williams College on Saturday, November 10th in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships. First and Second round games will be played at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.

Kiefer was named the Skyline Tournament's Most Valuable Player and the Skyline Conference Player of the Week.

Freshman forward Ashlee Thompson (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after she scored a goal and had an assist in the win over Mount Saint Mary College.

Cross Country Update - Full Report

The men's and women's cross country Skyline Championships, held at Chadwick Lake Park in Newburgh, N.Y., has been postponed for a second time due to weather. The rescheduled date has not yet been determined.

Women's Volleyball Update (12-12) - Full Report

The Rams entered the Skyline Playoffs as the #4 seed and fell, 3-2, at #3 St. Joseph's in the quarterfinals.
