Harrison Scores for Brooklyn in Double OT

Brooklyn College - 1, Farmingdale State - 0 (2 OT)

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Junior forward Chavel Harrison (Brooklyn, N.Y.) tapped in a rebound for the lone tally of today's non-conference men's soccer game to give Brooklyn College a 1-0 win over Farmingdale State with 4:41 left in double overtime. The Bulldogs improved to 1-1 overall with the victory, while the Rams fell to 0-3 on the season.

Farmingdale State outshot Brooklyn 19-14, including 12 shots in the second half, but could not find the back of the net as junior goalkeeper Stamatis Boundouris (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made five saves in the game.

Junior goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti (East Northport, N.Y.) kept the Rams in the game with eight saves in the 105 minutes of play. The rebound on his final save off a shot from junior midfielder Dmitry Prokofyev (Tula, Russia) as the Bulldogs stormed the net would bounce to Harrison in front for the game-ending tally.

Farmingdale State will now host Plattsburgh State on Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m.
