Rams Take Cougars 14-8 in Last Home Game

Farmingdale State improved to 8-6 overall with a 14-8 win over Kean University (7-8) in their final home game of the regular season. The Rams took a 9-5 lead into halftime with three points each from freshmen Gianluca Carrabs (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) and Michael Wood (Merrick, NY/Bellmore JFK), as well as sophomore Joe Meola (Rocky Point, NY/Rocky Point). Meola and Patrick Eustache (Queens, NY/Elmont) both led Farmingdale with three goals, while Wood, Ryan LaFlare (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) and Mike Cullen (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) scored two goals each. Chris Hardgrove (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) was awarded the win making 7 saves for the Rams, before Kevin Winters (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) came in to stop 4 shots in the final period.

Kean University junior Tom Rossi (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) led with four goals, while sophomore Steve Gill (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) tallied three goals for the Cougars. Will Lillard (Madison, NJ/Vermont Academy) dished out three assists. Goalkeeper Dave Nichols (Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) made 13 stops in net.
