The men's lacrosse team finished
the season with an overall record of 7-7, including victories over
future conference opponents Kean University and SUNY Maritime. In
the Rams season ending victory over SUNY Utica-Rome, attackman Matthew
Lott scored a school record 11 goals, breaking the old record of
10 goals set in 1998.
Offensively , the team was led by attackman John Vaeth, who was
the leading scorer for the season. Juniors Phil Balducci and Corey
Neyland controlled the midfield position for the Rams, with Balducci
also finishing second on the team in scoring. Transfers Scott
Rothbaum and Jose Aponte were the defensive cornerstones for the
team. Rothbaum led the Rams in takeaways. Goalie's Anthony Sheridan
and Joe Siwicki both had great seasons for Farmingdale, splitting
time in goal and providing solid and sometimes spectacular play
throughout the year.
