NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 12 head men's basketball coaches have cast their votes on their 2022-23 edition of the preseason poll, and Farmingdale State College has been selected at the top of the tally.

Tenth-year head coach Brendan Twomey's Rams (19-8, 14-2 Skyline in 2021-22), who topped the Skyline standings last season, received 10 out of a possible 11 first-place votes (coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team). FSC returns 11 student-athletes from the 2021-22 outfit, including seniors Nick Hurowitz (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.), Corey Powell (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Aaron Davis (Valley Stream, N.Y.). All three players averaged double figures in scoring, including a 12.1 points-per-game average by Hurowitz, an 11.6 average by all-conference selection Powell, and a 10.5 per-outing average by Davis. Junior point guard Jevon Santos (Elmont, N.Y.) also returns after a standout rookie campaign in which he dished out 128 assists (4.7/gm.) and swiped a team-best 46 steals -- which ranked second and fourth in the Skyline, respectively.

Twomey's side opens up its 25-game regular-season slate on Tuesday night (Nov. 8), when it tips off the season at 7 p.m. at New York University.
