Riefenstahl to Compete in 2019 Gotham Hoops Invitational

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) has been selected to compete in the 6th Annual Gotham Hoops Invitational on Saturday, April 27th at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, N.Y. The tournament style showcase features 36 of the Nation's top men's college basketball seniors for professional scouts in attendance. 

The event tips-off at 12:00 p.m. with semifinal match-ups followed by consolation and championship games at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively. Admission is free for all spectators and games will be broadcast live on GothamHoops.com. 

Riefenstahl appeared in and started 28 games for the Rams this season, averaging 14.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots per game. In the NCAA, he finished 13th for total rebounds (303), 17th in total blocks (65) and 18th for double-doubles (15). Over his four-year career at FSC, Riefenstahl averaged 12.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting 56.1% from the field. He leaves as the all-time leader in blocks (188), ranks second in rebounds (969) and third in field goals made (522).
