Riefenstahl Named Second Team All-Met

New York, N.Y. - The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association recently released the 2017-18 Division III men's basketball award winners. Farmingdale State junior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) earned Second Team All-Met honors.

Riefenstahl appeared in 21 games and led the team in scoring (14.1 ppg), rebounding (10.2 rpg), field goal percentage (.575) and blocked shots (44) and was fifth in free-throw percentage (.773). He ranked second in the Skyline Conference in rebounding, blocks and field goal percentage and seventh in scoring. In the NCAA, Riefenstahl ranked 24th in blocks per game (2.1), 25th in defensive rebounds per game (7.57), 26th for rebounding and 47th in field goal percentage.
